ArtFit Studio ("ArtFit", "we", "our") is developed and operated by De Agustin Art, based in Sweden. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our iOS application.
Information We Collect
ArtFit collects and processes the following data:
- Wall photos: Images you select from your photo library or capture with your camera for artwork visualization and wall cleanup.
- Artwork images: Images you select for placement on walls.
- App preferences: Settings such as dismissed onboarding tips and measurement unit preferences, stored locally on your device.
- Subscription data: Purchase and subscription status managed by Apple through the App Store.
How We Use Your Information
Your photos are used solely to provide the app's core functionality:
- Wall cleanup: When you use the "Clean Wall" feature, your wall photo and the painted mask are temporarily uploaded to our cloud storage (Firebase Storage) and sent to a third-party AI service for processing. The cleaned image is returned to your device.
- Artwork placement: All artwork rendering and perspective calculations happen locally on your device. No images are uploaded for this feature.
Third-Party Services
ArtFit uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Storage (Google): Temporary cloud storage for images during wall cleanup processing. Uploaded images are deleted automatically by the app as soon as processing is complete. As an additional safeguard, any remaining files are automatically removed within 24 hours. Firebase Privacy Policy
- AI Processing Service: AI image processing for wall cleanup. The service automatically deletes all submitted images and results within one hour of processing. Images are not retained or used for any other purpose, including AI training.
Data Retention
- Uploaded images in Firebase Storage are deleted immediately after processing. A 24-hour automatic cleanup rule serves as a safety net.
- Our AI processing service automatically removes all inputs and outputs within one hour.
- Locally saved images (to your photo library) are under your control and can be deleted at any time.
- App preferences stored on your device are deleted when you uninstall the app.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect personal identification information (name, email, phone number).
- We do not use analytics or tracking services.
- We do not serve advertisements.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
- We do not use your photos to train AI models. Our AI service provider is contractually prohibited from using submitted images for model training.
Data Security
Image uploads are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We use Firebase security rules to restrict access to uploaded files. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
ArtFit is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Rights (GDPR)
As a Swedish company, we comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing of your data
- Data portability
Since we do not collect personal identification data and uploaded images are deleted immediately after processing, these rights primarily apply to any transient data during active wall cleanup sessions.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
